I first contacted Hinrich Kahrs based on a friend's recommendation for firewood. For the last five years or so, I get at least one cord (sometimes more) of firewood from him per year. Hinrich just sells good, dried oak for cozy, even-burning fires. I recently had a chimney sweep over to clean our chimney, and he said (paraphrasing), "Well, I can tell you use your fireplace a lot, because it really needed some cleaning. But there was no greasy creosoot in there. The wood you're burning just creates a fine, dry powder. That's a good thing. Wherever you're getting your firewood from, it's good stuff!"

We moved into our new house a few years ago and saw that Hinrich was the preferred landscaper for many of our neighbors in our beautiful Fairfax Station neighborhood.  We initially hired Hinrich's team for trimming back our very tall oak trees.  He did excellent work at a very reasonable price and we quickly enlisted Hinrich to completely take over our landscaping services including weekly mowing, lawn treatment, plant maintenance, weeding, mulching, fall leaf clearing, and more.   For the past two years, he's really done an outstanding job.   In those two years he's also taken on many special projects for us including tree removal, installation of  new vegetable garden, pool patio maintenance and much more.  This year we've started getting winter firewood from him for our raging fires and his wood has been awesome (dried clean oak, amazing!).    If you are looking to hire an honest, kind, and fair business to take care of your landscaping, tree removal, and firewood needs give Hinrich and his crew a call. On the recommendation of a friend, we hired Hinrich Kahrs Landscape and Tree Service to remove a very large tree and trim some large branches that were hanging over our home. We were so pleased with the work that we had them come back to do several other projects including yard clean-up, stump grinding, bush removal, mulching and more. They also rebuilt our front walkway, planned new shrubs and flowers, and fixed a drainage issue near the front of our home. Hinrich and his crew are very professional, timely, and tidy.
